CH-0001 belongs to Yemen, where coffee was first brewed as a drink, and to two old Yemeni landraces passed down from farm to farm for generations: Ja'di and Tuffahi.

Mustafa Ali Hasan Al Me'qabi grows them on the terraces he inherited from his ancestors, at 2,169 m in Sharqi Haraaz, in a village above a natural water basin that keeps his trees green. The cherries are hand selected and dried whole in the mountain sun. When the season ends, Mustafa drives his Land Cruiser between Haraaz and Sana'a, carrying passengers along the winding mountain roads.

In the cup: brown sugar, dried apricot and wild berry, finishing on cocoa nib, with a soft and silky body. Balanced and bright, made for V60 and filter, and generous as espresso.
